Nike Means Victory
Founded in 1964, Nike is now one of the most valuable sports brands in the world, worth over $19 billion. Not bad for what started out as a small business selling trainers from the boot of a car. By the late 80s, half of the sports shoes sold in America were Nikes. And even greater success was ahead, as lines like the Air Force and Air Max became cultural icons that had the fashion pages buzzing. These days the company's “Swoosh” logo is an internationally recognised symbol of sporty coolness.
